Crystals as white as the page
Fall like a waterfall.
A scooped fix of energy
Commanding such pleasure,
That the price to society
Had to be paid by…others.
Financed by dealers and the middleman.
Money changing hands.
On city corners wealth sprung
While others hung.
Couriers on the wind
Carried the prize to sweet teeth
Waiting for the high.
Cravings as white as this page,
No matter the price that’s paid.
Heat beneath a silver spoon
That stole, murdered and raped
Simply for a taste.
Etiquette for English gentlemen
And those who aspired to be.
Stirring crystal blood,
Into their cups of tea.
