Esprit De Corps - Brighton Rocks
Steve Turner of the Brighton Rocks sent in a review of their early season form.
The Rocks who won the Sussex League last year as the Brighton Beers and are known as the Rocks this year and are looking to repeat their success of last year.

New name (viva le Rocks), new kit (Big shout to Toni and the guys at Hosana for our Carolina blues), four new players and a new season down in Sussex, and its 6-0 to date for the Brighton Rocks' inaugural season.
After what seemed liked a real long pre-season we tipped the 2007/08 campaign and cruised to an easy thirty point victory over the Bexhill Giants. The Rocks followed up with a trip out to East Grinstead and an early season showdown with the perennial favourite Flyers, in which, following an even three quarters, we broke the game open early in the fourth with a quick 10-0 run and walked away with a 68-61 win.

A four game home stand begun with a cross court match-up versus fellow Hosana alumni Sussex University, in which the Rocks fought off a late surge from the Sussex guys to take the game by 10. A solid performance against a strong Haywards Heath squad, followed by a 62 point route of Hastings 1066 and a double deuce victory over Chichester capped the first six weeks and saw us take the Sussex League's top spot.

Next up is our annual subway series against cross city rivals Brighton Cougars, and a match-up with Brighton University's South Coast Dreams.
Like the Bulls, we out till the New Year.
