NBA thrill full house at the 02

NBA thrill full house at the 02

Vince Carter and his New Jersey Nets beat the Miami Heat 94-92 on Sunday in a preseason game played in front of a noisy 02 crowd.

Vince Carter made three free throws in the final 10 seconds to help the New Jersey Nets hold on after what was a close fought game. For the Nets' this was their second win over the Heat in four days having won 100-98 in overtime victory in Paris on Thursday.

The NBA's European preseason tour is now an annual event and with London 2012 looming large, the NBA are keen to support the game in Europe and particularly in the UK.

Carter finished with 19 points and debutant Yi Jianlian added another 17 for the Nets in a game that treated the fans to a number of high-flying dunks but also showed that this was pre-season, as mistakes also littered the game.

Dwyane Wade had 18 for the Heat who came back from a 19-point first-quarter deficit to push the game right to the end.
